THE MONASTERY SAINT DUMITRU
MIDDLETOWN, NY
JULY 9TH 2006

 

On July 9^th, the community of the Holy Monastery Saint Dimitrios from Middletown, NY, celebrated the Divine Liturgy and enjoyed the presence and participation of His Eminence Metropolitan Iosif, Metropolitan of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of  Western Europe, His Eminence Archbishop Nicolae, Archbishop of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese in America and Canada and of His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian of Vicina, Auxiliary Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese in America and Canada. Participating as well were an important number of priests, monks and nuns representing various regions of America and Canada.

At this important event, a group of self motivated and wonderful ladies from Saint Nicholas parish in New York prepared a tasteful luncheon with a large variety of attractive dishes. This determined more than 200 persons, parish members, guests and hosts to appreciate the serious effort and dedicated love the ladies put in preparing this event. Even though this day of July was very hot, the general effort of this group of ladies, their hard work and welcoming warmness in their smile, did not cease for the entire duration of the event.

            The attached pictures are just a few images that will stay forever in history and in our hearts reminding us of the important event from the Enthroning of His Grace Ioan Casian of Vicina as Auxiliary Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese in America and Canada.

A.R.O.L.A.- The Association of the Romanian Orthodox Ladies Auxiliary –

finds a great opportunity in the event of Enthroning of His Grace Bishop Ioan Casian of Vicina as Auxiliary Bishop to open the AROLA page and in the same time to extend its invitation to all the Romanian Orthodox ladies in America and Canada to bring their input and share their ideas and initiatives that up build A.R.O.L.A.’s Mission and Definition:

 

1.      To Support The Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese in America and Canada.

2.      Promote, Provide and Support Scholarship for our Theological Students.

3.      To Reach out and Help People in Need.

4.      To Bring People Together in Generosity, Compassion and Fellowship

5.      To Help People Find, Love and Serve God, knowing that without God and our Faith in God we are Nothing.
